EPILOGUE: KINKILY EVER AFTER

~Epilogue~
KINKILY EVER AFTER

Once upon another time, there was an entirely real—and simultaneously extraordinary—man,  skating through the luminous night sky in a JetBlue Airbus A320. Nestled into his side on the light blue leather seat, with the dividing arm between them raised so as not to disconnect the two inseparable bodies, was an enraptured and beguiling woman, bearing a recently-accepted, brilliant two-karat, round-cut diamond solitaire engagement ring on one of the five fingers thoroughly entwined with her fiancé’s.

She’s made a monumental decision on this trip—to accept the marriage proposal and commit life, heart, soul, and body to the man seated to her right: her lover, her confidant, her intimate partner—and incidentally, her Master—until death doth them part. He’s offered himself in the most humble of propositions—to serve as devoted husband to this woman who has become the centerpiece of his life: his comfort, his muse, his wildest imaginings—and not trivially, his submissive.

Homeward they flew, toward their oasis within the bustle of the impersonal city, where the two would set down roots together; torture and pleasure each other in every conceivable way; make joint decisions about careers and family and houses and vacations and holidays; love, cherish, honor, respect, obey, and trust one another.

And thus the two would live, bound to each other in every meaningful way...

Kinkily ever after.

::THE END::

_________________________________________________________
A/N: There are legions of people to thank, from generous dominants and submissives who shared real-life experiences with me (and asked not to be named) to talented editors and reviewers who gave me advice about the writing whenever I reached out to ask for help. Obviously, it all starts with Stephenie Meyer, who gave us the perfection of Edward Cullen, and a certain British actor who brought him to life and continues to feed our every fantasy. (Rob, the movie role is all yours!)

You who have read and reviewed have become my community of friends. Nobody in the fandom knew or cared about a pumpkin born on Halloween before Once Upon A Desire, and I was helped early on by a very generous recommendation by Kennedy Nicole Maddock of The Lemonade Stand. I will always be indebted for that early notice that brought my story onto the radar screen of some fantastic readers almost two years ago! I've been treated to some beautiful banners along the way, and even a videoall can be found in the "pictures" tab above. Thank you to Alterite, Shell Shock and Chaya Sara for their invaluable assistance with the last few chapters; many thanks to my submissive journal and HEA respondents—SarahKerbo, VerucaMarie, Kitkat, Beans, Whiti, Twinkletoes, and LessThanVanilla. I also wish to express my deep abiding gratitude for my patient and supportive husband, who puts up with more than his fair share...we’ll just leave it at that!

Since beginning KEA, I've also written a slew of other stories, from relatively clean to even filthier than thisGASP!and even some boy-boy stories! Through it all, KEA has continued posting weekly, and you all have come along for the ride. Many of you have supported my foray into the wide world of publishing with Once Upon A Temptation, and I have no doubt that when I dip my toe into the murky waters of Original Fiction, I'll be climbing upon your broad shoulders once again, looking for your honesty, your support, and your friendship. I have no plans to publish KEA at this time, but I so appreciate the many inquiries about doing so. It's time to move forward.

Please come and say hello if you haven't already. Tell me your story. Where did OUAD/KEA find you, and where are you today? You can message me here, at Facebook, or at Fanfiction.net. Stay in touch and watch for future projects. I have PLANS!

Thank you all for playing along when I took you places you hadn't tried before and may not have been comfortable staying, for opening your hearts and minds to these characters and letting them become a part of you.

    1. No more "Keep it cumming" from you. :(

I like the idea of "and then some," and perhaps some of that will make its way to the internet. Who knows? :)

You know where to find me, Char. And I'll be watching you, too.
Here's to loads more fun where this came from!

  4. Perfect, just perfect! You have managed to create an image that will take us all into their future knowing that their love and mutual respect will carry them through the trials of life. Yes, they are inextricably bound to each other as we are inextricably bound to this story. Thank you, Born, for sharing the experience of these two that has also become our own.

  5. Dear Born,

From the beginning of the drabble, to the leather jacket's point of view, to Black Velvet, OMK, the Dark Prince and his princess... you've held my interest and pulled me into your twisted fairytale. You've done an incredible job in bringing us a story with characters that are not only unique and unpredictable, from the masterful master who is believably vulnerable to his little subbie who has shown tremendous strength and personal growth.

Moments such as Edward losing his beloved family pet, and his impromptu unplanned proposal made this all the more real.

I absolutely love the interaction between Edward and Marcus- his ability to make Edward squirm, as well as Edward's absolute trust and almost reverence of his mentor. I'd love to see an outtake starring Marcus if you ever share any more of KEA with us. His tongue in cheek sense of humor made him a great supporting character.

And then we have Princess... Oh how she's grown in such a short period of time. I'm proud of the woman she's become, how she's learned to let her inhibitions go and trust her humble master.

I was cheering for her when she was looking for a man without a stud in his dress shirt way back when. Looking for her Black Velvet in all the wrong places when her computer geek IT guy was right under her nose.

Oh, Born, I wish you the best. You've become my Saturday morning entertainment for so long. Whatever will I do now?

So, I promised to come out of the closet and actually leave a review, so here I am, even if I'm a little late for the party.

Can't wait to see what else you've got planned for us.

    Best wishes,

    'nise

    1. Your review makes me blush and flush and gush, all in the best possible ways. I know you've been a loyal supporter from early on, and I so value that. I love your insights here in the final summary, and I'm so pleased that you stayed with us on this journey. I did try to make them real, allow for some mistakes, and above all, growth. You seem to have picked up on all that, so thank you.

Please stay tuned for further developments...you never know where that pumpkin might turn up!

  7. Well here we are.

    The end.

I could almost hate those two little words, however, I understand that what you've done is finally finish giving birth to a very precious part of yourself. What an epic tale it became too.

Did you know it would be a long a journey as it was? You're characters were well defined, their "situations" were well thought out and described just enough to let the readers imagination take over and proceed to what every logical conclusion the reader wanted/needed/had.

In short I totally enjoyed the entire ride and don't know what I shall replace my weekly fix with.

Thank you so much B for sharing your talent and your wit with us.

Now, what's next?! Much love to you, but then you know that. Carol aka Dinia

    1. NO WONDER MY UTERUS HURTS! Actually, that is such a beautiful metaphor, Dinia. Some day, you and I will talk about what I had in mind when I started this sequel. I can guarandamtee you it wasn't what ended up here!

You're so insightful about the ending. I do believe we each need our own individual happy ending for these two. I'm not even sure what mine would be...do I sound like my own princess in HEA? Fact is, it all doesn't matter. They're together for it, and that's my KEA.

Thank you for your support all the way through. It's been great sharing the kink with you!

  8. I love the fact that with every fic I read I learn something new. Sometimes its history, art, music, the list goes on and on. Never expected to learn SO MUCH from two stories as I did with OUAD and KEA. Thank you for teaching me so many new things! One interesting thing I learned was I don't have a submissive bone in my body. Never have never will but the other side of that equation is very appealing to me. Learn and grow, learn and grow.
So I say thank you again and again for expanding my horizons, making me gasp in surprise at times and always laughing unexpectedly. I hope you continue to share with all of us from "the patch".

Thank you so much, and please stay tuned for the next thing...whatever that might be! Your support means the world to me.

  13. Well I'll be damned. I can't believe the end is here, but what a perfect ending it was in, no less, paradise. First of all, let me apologize for my epic fail in reviewing once KEA left FF and was "born" here. It never stopped me from readng, though. I've lurked my way through an uncomfortable dinner with Marcus and a table knife only to come through loving him even more. I've smiled at and adored Edward through the erotic and moving, "Worship your Master, Isabella," and his endearingly nervous speech asking for Charlie's blessing. (Even though the "worship" part was pre blog, I still had to mention it b/c it remains one of my absolutely favorite parts of KEA...so powerful). And I've loved that even though Isabella went on a journey to find herself and submit to another person, she never lost her true self in the process.

Your writing is so intelligent, crafted with interesting characters and exciting storylines. I will anxiously await whatever you serve up next. Much love and congratulations on the completion of this extraordinary accomplishment.

  16. well what can I say that hasn't already been said. I'm a sap at heart, you know this, so here goes. Thank you for allowing us all into your well rounded, beautifully created and thoroughly addictive world of Bella and Edward. I count this story among one of the very few that I will remember long after I'm finished reading (and I am downloading the PDF for whenever I feel the need to skip happily down memory lane). Thank you for the wonderful chats in the group. It's been so much fun to see everyone's reactions to the story, and to be involved and share my own thoughts as we all came along for the ride. I will miss your updates, but I know that all good things must come to an end. I know you're destined to remain a long-term part of the writing world. Go forth my little pumpkin and fill the world with your beautiful, poetic words. Heart you, lady. xxx Lisa.

  17. Little teary here Born, I honestly cannot remember when I started reading it was at the Lemonade stand probably. But the minute I did I also read pretty much everything else you had written and then grabbed a hold of this and held on. Learned new stuff (not all kinky either). Also become more comfortable reviewing and even got a new FB page just for fun thanks to you. I even got a plot bunny hopping in my head and if I ever get up the nerve to try I know I can ask you and you would lead the way to help. It is so wonderful to see the love you are recieving and I hope that whenever something new comes flying out from your pumpkin patch that I can always be a reader, wouldn't want to miss a thing.

  25. I'm years late to the party here but I wanted to thank you for a wonderful story. I happened upon a rec for this story from someone out here in the ether a few years back but it was still a work in progress. I have become leery of those since so many times I have become invested in a story and it just stops, never to be finished. Very frustrating!!
I have now become a firm believer in instant gratification, I only read finished stories and this one was truly fantastic. I devoured it over the course of a few days and still want more!
I look forward to reading more of your work, I am a devoted fan now. Thank you for such a well written, completely draw-you-in plot. Delicious!!
